Now that is a mouthful! Oh my!
Anyway, after I took brush calligraphy, I needed something to add to that skill to make cards or even more. Backgrounds are essential for layering script to add interest. Thus, gel printing was the solution - a fun, creative, unique approach. Isn't it interesting how one thing leads to another... Recently I had cataract on my left eye with my surgery for my right upcoming. Creative endeavors have been put on hold until these procedures - along with recovery - are done. Stay tuned for upcoming works and projects! Happy Spring everyone! K I have always enjoyed the look of modern calligraphy. Be it on signage, logos, pretty much anything that used this form of calligraphy. I did take a class many years ago, but it was the traditional type. Being a lefty caused some issues and was even told by the instructor I shouldn't be there. Nonetheless I hung in and learned that form.
Fast forward to the summer of 2023, I discovered Becca Courtice of The Happy Ever Crafter. She has crafted beautiful and fulfilling courses on modern calligraphy. I found her on YouTube and later discovered she's a "local" artist - Nepean Ontario. The local being, she's from Ontario! While I'm mid-way through (just finished Majuscules last week) I look forward to mastering and then using this newfound art form. Wish me luck! I have always wanted a separate site for my other artistic interests. The approach to this site is very different then my other site - SBK Accessories Studio.
Everything changes - layout, structure, photo gallery, marketing, general overall feel... to name a few. I hope you enjoy your visit to my site! Any questions or/and inquiries are welcome! Best - Kelly M |
